Daily Blogg: These things i cannot say

As many of you know im a writer and freelance Journalist willing to work pretty much anywhere at any time for a reasonable fee...

...this can lead to me being stuck in some more than a little difficult and "detaining" situations. One such situation raised its ugly head this week with me finding myself working for a popular gaming magazine that due to my inquisitive nature seen me held by some over zealous security personnel who believed i "borrowed" some rather exclusive imagery during the press conference.

6-8 hours later i emerged blinking into stark daylight from the gloom of the local police station with a now out of date plane and train ticket and bruises in places i really didn't want and left in the cold and insanely bright day waiting for my laptop, XBL memory card and camera to be released from the evidence department.

As im sure by now you have noticed it has taken me quite some time to get home. Normal service will resume as soon as i get some sleep and a shower.

So who fell for it?

So come on folks who fell for the gag How Too?
It's ok you can admit it, i left it up for a week in hopes of somebody at least attempt to ask me WTF i was thinking?
Dont panic though folks this wont be a recurring theme but i recently found that quite a few people were just coming to my Blogg for the How too section and i thought i would have a giggle with them.
I hope i didn't ruin anybody's phone or or make you waste money on a huge Ethernet cable but i really wanted to see if anyone would pull me on a gag post...

None the less the blogg will be back to normal this week and i will be doing a movie niight this weekend and a brand new REAL how too next week.

System Restore Update: #1

Y'know im not normally one to got over the top with upgrades but under the circumstances and given access to all the old tech that the office is throwing out (so they can claim new stuff on the insurance) i think "twisting" the letter of the law in order to get my fridge box back could be counted as more than within the levels of karma's wrath.

The unit your looking at is NOT my system but it is the same cooling system as mine and will look almost identical to how mine will look externally but with a few tweaks. the only problem it could take up to two weeks (maby more) to get everything set up due primarily because i refuse point blank to to EVER use windows vista.

none the less all should be well sometime in the very very near future.

UPDATE: Updating form Library

Hold on folks i'll be back as soon as possable, i've had a massive network failure and been forced to wipe everything off my entire network due to some nasty bugger deciding he didnt like what i was saying and i got the mother of all virus's.

At this time i am reduced to updating here at the local library and attempting to keep my lovely little blogg alive while i "decontaminate" my laptop and desktops and attempt to salvage something from my hardrives.

But fear ye not! i will return to form as soon as I can, keep your eyes open for future updates and news on whats happening.

AUTO UPDATE FAILURE!

In case you didn't notice my auto updater screwed up again and put the "new years eve" blogg update up.
Long term readers of this blogg will know this is not the first time this has happened and i apologise for my implied idiocy or inability to tell the date.

you may (or may not) see that post again come new years eve or i may surprise you, but i think it will be a manual update instead.

again technology's screws me in the ass....damn.
