Daily Blogg: Mowar fanz?

So I've been looking for a reasonably cheap case mod that will help keep my poor little computer's processor nice and cool.

THIS (see pic) is the answer, well this combined with a case with more holes in it than Swiss cheese (painted yellow of coarse) and with the fans wired up to there own power source THE HUMMING CHEESETM for the fans works so i can access the internal should be the most efficiently cooled computer i will ever build. I swear it WILL look better when i put the cover on it, i just need to make it big enough to fit over the fans and cut the vent holes over the fan locations and put the mesh on to stop dust and crap getting in and make shure the rising swing hinge component has enough free space so I can open the side panel to swap out parts as and when its needed.

Sadly its probably also going to be the biggest and loudest too, but this is the price we pay for functionality. None the less it seems i have turned my Comp into one massive heat sink. If everything go's to plan it should be finished some time this weekend and the new case should be finished around monday or tuesday next week. None the less...

Ok dude, wtf? What is so wrong with your processor, yet so right, that you would rather cover your tower with fans than buy a new processor? Seriously, how is that thing going to be when you want to be on vent? It'll sound like you're in a wind tunnel!

This is a solution one step up from smashing with a hammer, though. It's ugly too XP.

//gives you a sammich to help you think this over.

well its a 3.7GH pentium 4 overclocked to hell and back to the point where if properly cooled (with only one fan) can push the 7.132GH barrier comfortably and has on one occasion almost clocked 7.2GH (rated with EVEREST Home edition) so im hopeing with a "little" extra cooling and a truly massive heat sink and a new overclock system it should be able to push 7.3GH.

As for why im not just paying for a better processor...

...what can i say i have grown attatched to it or to be more precice my Mother Board has and to be honest im not shure i can get the damn thing out without risking dammage.

Well that and im the cheapest muthafuka in the world.

Woops id i say 3.7GH i menat 6.2GH (wrong comp lol) oh well.

Dosent sound QUITE as impressive but none the less statement stands.

makes my little piece 0 crap look like... a little piece 0 crap!

good luck, i normally open the windows in my room to keep the room temp at about a few degrees above freezing, thats about the only cooling my piece 0 crap gets

Get yourself a decent heat sink and a fan combo and you would be suprised at the results

Did you cackle like a madman and scream, "IT'S ALIVE!" when you finished? -_^

well i did apply electricity and it did "moan" to life

i admit it i did cackle a little when i first booted it

i may have even clapped my hands in a Jim Carrey stle and danced around the room a little...
